TRAID: Wearing Poverty Out!. Nottingham Trent students are holding an event for one of the most prestigious charitable fashion brands from London, traid, in association with The Body Shop and Hotel Chocolat to name a few. In order to raise awareness of the damage that the fashion industry is doing to our planet and raise a substantial amount of money for the cause, an exclusive fashion show is to be held in the Alea Casino, Nottingham, to showcase eco-friendly clothing donations from certified brands and the public. All guests will be greeted at 7:30pm by our photographer to be snapped and posted on the official Facebook page, then they will be directed through to the hidden bar where they can purchase drinks and mingle whilst the DJ sets the scene ready for the shows beginning at 8:30pm!

BE A SUPERHERO FOR RAINBOWS.
It’s time to dust off your superhero suit, because Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People needs all the heroes it can find. The charity is encouraging everyone in the East Midlands to get involved with Children’s Hospice Week (18-25 May) by doing something heroic on Friday 25 May. Patricia Brookes, Rainbows Director of Fundraising, said: “There are many ways people can help us; creative types can go to work or school dressed as superheroes, the more domesticated out there can have a heroic cake sale or there are fundraising ideas on the Children’s Hospice Week page of our website – from a superhero quiz to film nights, there will be something for everyone.”
Superhero Friday is at the end of Children’s Hospice Week, which is the UK’s biggest awareness and fundraising week for children’s hospice services. The week is co-ordinated by national charity Together for Short Lives. Visit www.rainbows.co.uk/hospiceweek for more information.
